TORONTO — The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men's soccer team is happy to welcome defender Dennis Liu to the 2025-26 recruiting class.

The Kanata, Ont., native has gained some valuable experience playing in Eastern Ontario. He spent the past nine years competing with West Ottawa Soccer Club of the Ottawa Carleton Soccer League, most recently on their WO 2007 Elite team. Liu also made a one year appearance with Ottawa Impact SC in the same league. Over the course of his early playing career, Liu captured two Wesley Clover Cup titles and a Maritime U18 Youth Super Cup. Additionally, he was called up at the age of 17 to play in the OCSL Men's First Division.

Liu had a notable high school soccer career with Earl of March Secondary School. There he served as the varsity co-captain, while maintaining an honour roll academic status throughout all four years.

The dedicated fullback is excited to join the Bold while pursuing a degree in nursing. Reflecting on his visits, Liu shared, "Whenever I came to train or play with the team, they made me feel comfortable and were inviting."

Liu is the 13th recruit of an impressive 2025-26 recruiting class, a group that is ready to make an impression when the OUA season kicks off.
