TORONTO — The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men's soccer team is pleased to welcome defender Ricardo Gonzalez to the 2025-26 recruiting class.

Originally from Markham, Ont., the centre-back spent key developmental years with the North Toronto Nitros, a team he continues to compete with today. Since joining the Nitros in 2020, his strong performances earned him a spot with the NCAA Southern Indiana University program, where he played during the 2024-25 season. He made nine appearances with the Screaming Eagles, making three starts.

Gonzalez was also a significant contributor on the Unionville High School soccer team.

Joining the Bold, Gonzalez will reunite with several familiar teammates from the Nitros. He will be pursuing a degree in Business Management and has expressed excitement for the opportunity to advance his academic and athletic goals with the TMU soccer program.

Gonzalez is the 10th recruit in TMU's 2025-26 recruiting class, which continues to build momentum with each new commitment.
