Mattamy Athletic Centre - Basketball/Hockey/Volleyball

Ryerson's men's and women's basketball, hockey and volleyball teams play their home games at Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC) in the former Maple Leaf Gardens. Basketball and volleyball games are held on Home Court while hockey games take place on Mattamy Home Ice. The varsity offices of the athletic department can also be found on the third floor of the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

Driving Directions

From Highway 401 (eastbound)

  1. Take Hwy. 401 to Hwy. 427 South
  2. Exit onto Hwy. 427 and go south to Gardiner Expressway East
  3. Exit onto Gardiner Expressway and drive east to Yonge St
  4. Exit onto Yonge St and drive north
  5. Turn right (east) on Carlton St., Mattamy Athletic Centre is on the left (250 metres) at the corner of Carlton St. and Church St.

From Highway 401 (westbound)

  1. Take Hwy. 401 to Don Valley Parkway South
  2. Exit onto the Don Valley Parkway and continue south as it turns into the Gardiner Expressway West
  3. Exit onto Yonge St. and drive north.
  4. Turn right (east) on Carlton St., Mattamy Athletic Centre is on the left (250 metres) at the corner of Carlton St. and Church St.


Public Transit

  1. Mattamy Athletic Centre is located approximately one block east of College Station on the TTC’s Yonge Subway Line
  2. Exit the station and walk one block east on Carlton St. Mattamy Athletic Centre is located on the north side of Carlton St. at the corner of Carlton St. and Church St.

Downsview Park Sports Centre - Soccer

The Ryerson men’s and women’s soccer teams play their home games at Downsview Park located at 35 Carl Hall Road near the intersection of Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue West. The Downsview Park TTC subway station is located in the park just north of the Sports Centre.

From Gardiner Expressway (eastbound)

  • Take Davenport Rd and Avenue Rd to Dunvegan Rd 
  • Follow Dunvegan Rd and Old Forest Hill Rd to Eglinton Ave W
  • Take Allen Rd N to John Drury Dr in North York
  • Turn left onto John Drury Dr

Public Transit from Ryerson Campus

  • The Downsview Park TTC subway station connects to Line 1 and provides access all across Toronto. Please visit the TTC’s official website for up-to-date information, a list of schedules, and to follow service alerts. The station also connects with GO Transit’s Barrie line.

Ryerson University Kerr Hall Gymnasium - Badminton/Fencing

Ryerson’s badminton and fencing teams play their home matches on campus in Kerr Hall Gymnasium.

  • Take Hwy. 401 to Hwy. 427 South
  • Exit onto Hwy. 427 and go south to Gardiner Expressway East
  • Exit onto Gardiner Expressway and drive east to Jarvis St
  • Exit onto Jarvis St and drive north
  • Ryerson is bounded by four major city streets: Gerrard (north), Dundas (south), Jarvis (east) and Yonge (west). Driving north on Jarvis, Ryerson’s main campus will be on your left hand side north of Dundas.

From Highway 401 (westbound)

  • Exit onto Jarvis St. and drive north.
  • Ryerson is bounded by four major city streets: Gerrard (north), Dundas (south), Jarvis (east) and Yonge (west).  Driving north on Jarvis, Ryerson’s main campus will be on your left hand side north of Dundas.

  • Exit the station and walk one block north on Yonge from the Eaton Centre to Gould Street.
  • Turn right on Gould and walk one block east to Victoria Street.
  • Ryerson is also approximately one block south of College Station on the TTC’s Yonge Subway Line
  • Exit the station and walk south on Yonge from College/Carlton Street to Gerrard Street.
  • Turn left on Gerrard and walk one block east to Victoria Street.
