Edmonton’s Maxim Yeliyashevskyy Joins Bold’s 2025-26 Recruiting Class

TORONTO — The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men's soccer team is thrilled to welcome winger Maxim Yeliyashevskyy to the 2025-26 recruiting class.

Originally from Edmonton, Alta., Yeliyashevskyy has built a strong foundation in both Canadian and international soccer. He began his playing career with St. Albert Impat FC from 2016 to 2019, while also featuring for FC Edmonton between 2018 and 2019. He continued his development with the Edmonton Warriors from 2019 to 2022.

In 2021, Yeliyashevskyy went to play internationally with brief stints at FK Karpaty Lviv in Ukraine and EF Huesca in Spain. He then played for FK Indija in Serbia during the 2022-2023 season, followed by a move to FK Kozara Gradiska in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2023.

Most recently, he spent the past year playing in the United States with Bryant and Stratton College in Wisconsin.

Throughout his time playing with various teams, he has maintained excellent academic status, finishing all four years of high school with honours. He also finished his first year at Bryant and Stratton College with a 4.0 GPA.

A quick and two-footed winger, Yeliyashevskyy shows confidence in his dribbling and 1v1 play. He looks forward to joining TMU, as the program's environment, team culture, and academic offerings all align with his goals. He plans to pursue a degree in Business Management.

"After speaking with Head Coach Filip Prostran, I greatly felt like this was the right place for me to take the next step in my career as a student athlete," said Yeliyashevskyy.

He becomes the sixth addition to the Bold's 2025-26 recruiting class—a talented and promising group.
