Bold Add Elite Offensive Talent Anna McKee to 2026-27 Roster

TORONTO—The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold women's hockey team has secured star forward Anna McKee on their 2026-27 roster.

"Anna has a 'shoot-first' mentality to her offensive game, which is an element we need a lot more of in our offensive game," said Head Coach Lisa Haley. "She's got a terrific release on her shot, and she is downright tenacious around the net, always hunting for scoring opportunities."

McKee brings an impressive resume from her time competing out west. From 2021-25, she played for the Fraser Valley Rush of the British Columbia Elite Hockey League (BCEHL), where she developed into one of the league's top offensive players.

Serving as team captain in her final season with the Rush, McKee delivered a standout year. In 22 games, she recorded 28 goals and 17 assists, finishing with a remarkable 45 points. Her dominant season earned her BCEHL Player of the Year and All-Star Team honours for 2024-25. During her time with Fraser Valley, she also helped the program capture two regional championships and two Esso Cup silver medals.

McKee has also represented British Columbia on the national stage, winning bronze at the 2024-25 National Women's U18 Championship.

Throughout the 2025-26 season, McKee played for the U19 Purcell Hockey Academy team in the Female Super League (FSL), an elite women's hockey league launched in 2024. She appeared in 18 games, posting 16 goals and 15 assists, finishing with 31 points.

McKee arrives at TMU with existing chemistry with Bold players Katie Leroux, Nahvin Bal and Maddy Collins, having previously played together in Fraser Valley. Studying geographic analysis at TMU, she said the welcoming environment with familiar faces made the program feel like the right fit.

McKee also looks forward to progressing as she makes the jump to OUA hockey with the Bold.

"The training and hockey facilities are very impressive, and I believe they will help me continue to grow as an athlete," said McKee. "I also think Toronto is a beautiful city, and I can truly see myself growing there both personally and athletically."

Joining an already impressive 2026-27 recruiting class, McKee looks to elevate the Bold's offensive presence.
