TORONTO — The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold women's hockey team has added goalie Isabella Lane to its 2026-27 recruiting class.
"Izzy has an incredible level of compete in her game," said Bold Head Coach Lisa Haley. "We've watched her steal big games for her club team this year, and we look forward to seeing her do the same for TMU."
Lane joins the Bold after playing for the Toronto Leaside Jr. Wildcats U22 AA in 2024-26. Last season, Lane posted a .944 save-percentage and 1.95 goals-against average. The Markham, Ont., native finished with a 20-7-0 record and recorded three shutouts.
"I play a big style but know when to be conservative," said Lane. "I'm always making smart decisions that give me the best chance to make a save."
Before her stint with the Wildcats, Lane also played for the Durham West Lightning U15 AA team. She recorded a 1.19 goals-against average, 13 shutouts and 29 victories during the 2022-23 campaign.
Lane has also previously played with former Bold captain Cailey Davis at Hyperfit Hockey.
While Lane is currently deciding between majoring in Nursing or Biomedical Science, the goaltender is excited to continue her hockey career in a familiar environment.
"Being close to home is important to me," said Lane. "During my campus tour, I was welcomed with genuine kindness, which made me shift my view even more to TMU."
Lane joins an impressive goaltending room that is eager to improve on a standout season.
