Bold Alumna Ivymae Perez Signs With AFC Toronto of the Northern Super League

TORONTO – Ivymae Perez, who played for the Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold women's soccer team from 2021-2023, has signed a professional contract with AFC Toronto of the new Northern Super League (NSL).

With TMU, Perez scored 10 goals in 25 matches and was named an OUA Second-Team All-Star and Team MVP in the 2023 season.

The Toronto product will be coached by former TMU men's soccer player and current TMU men's soccer Lead Assistant Coach, Marko Milanovic.

"It was hard to say no to this opportunity. I never thought I'd be able to play for a pro team that's right at home," said Perez. "I knew Billy [Wilson (AFC Toronto's Sporting Director)] and head coach Marko from my time with North Toronto Soccer; I trust them with everything. Signing my contract was super emotional and I'm excited to hopefully be a positive role model for other local players."

AFC Toronto's roster includes 13 players. The new six-team NSL kicks off April 16.
