OSHAWA, Ont. - The Rams earned a point after their 1-1 match against UOIT Ridgebacks Sunday afternoon at Vaso's Field, making it their third draw of the season.

Katie Joyce (Petty Harbour, NL) earned Ryerson's only goal and her first for the season with an assist from Maria Poveda (Mississauga, Ont.) at the end of the first half.

Goalkeeper Elisa Lapadula (Brampton, Ont.) made 11 saves to keep Ryerson in the game.

The Rams could not claim possession during a chaotic offensive attack at Ryerson's net after a corner kick and Mikaela Tierney (King City, Ont.) found the loose ball to tie the game in the 63rd minute for UOIT.

The Rams put up a tough fight, but were unable to earn another lead. The game ended with a 1-1 draw even though both sides had a number of chances.

The Rams next match will be another road trip on September 22 to Nipissing and Laurentian on September 23. Kick off will be 12:00pm.
