The Ryerson Rams women's soccer team picked two points in the standings following a 0-0 draw at Laurentian on Saturday and a 2-2 tie Sunday at Nipissing.
On Sunday against Nipissing, Ryerson fell behind 2-0 less than seven minutes into the game. However, the Rams would battle back as the team's offensive leaders found the back of the net. Calaigh Copland, a second team all-star and last year's team leader in goals, would get one back in the 22nd minute. Three-time all-star and former all-Canadian Andrea Raso would get the equalizer in the 60th minute.
Stephanie Stubbert and Nicole Arromba had the goals for Nipissing.
In Saturday's 0-0 tie against Laurentian, goalkeeper Stefanie Webster made three saves for the shutout in her first OUA start. Webster has made the move from midfield to keeper this season. Michelle Philp recorded the clean sheet for Laurentian.
Ryerson (0-0-2) will host its home opener Saturday, Sep. 11 against the RMC Paladins (0-1-0). Game time is 1pm at Lamport Stadium. The Rams also host Queen's (2-0-0) on Sunday, Sep. 12.
