Bold Add Lily Blondon to 2026-27 Recruiting Class

TORONTO — The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold women's basketball team has signed Lily Blondon, a forward from Bedford, N.S., as part of its 2026-27 recruiting class.

'Lily is a great addition to our program and university," said head coach Carly Clarke. "A dynamic, versatile player, she will strengthen our forward position next season. Lily demonstrates a great toughness and work ethic that matches her future teammates and our culture. We look forward to her immediately impacting our environment as a player and person when she arrives next season!"

Blondon joins TMU following a decorated career at Charles P. Allen High School in Bedford. She served as team captain in 2025-26 and helped lead the program to a Metro League regular-season banner. Her individual honours include Charles P. Allen girls basketball rookie of the year (2023-24), overall rookie of the year (2023-24) and girls basketball MVP (2024-25). She was also named a Metro League high school all-star in 2024-25 and earned honour roll recognition in 2024-25.

On the provincial stage, Blondon represented Nova Scotia at the 2025 Canada Games, helping the team capture a bronze medal — just the third medal in the province's history in women's basketball at the Games. She also competed for the Nova Scotia provincial team in 2024. Blondon was named to the Canada Basketball U18 watchlist (2025-26) and the All Canadian Games watchlist (2026).

Blondon describes herself as a competitive, disciplined athlete who takes pride in her work ethic and consistency. A multi-sport athlete growing up, she credits that experience with developing her game awareness, adaptability and leadership skills.

"I chose TMU because of Coach Carly Clarke and the team culture," Blondon said. "When I visited, I felt welcomed and knew it was the right place for me. I'm excited to play with such a talented group and continue to grow as a player and a person."

Blondon is the second recruit of TMU's 2026-27 season class. She will study sport media at TMU.
