TORONTO — The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold women's hockey team is thrilled to welcome a new player to their front line with the commitment of forward Alexandra Dusome to the 2025-26 recruiting class.
Dusome joins TMU with a familiar face on the roster—her sister
Eden Dusome. The duo previously played together for the Barrie Jr. Sharks, and now they'll reunite on the ice to represent the Bold.
Head coach
Lisa Haley expressed her enthusiasm for the sisters' reunion and praised Dusome's style of play: "Alex uses her skating ability in open ice to create some great offensive chances. She has some natural finish around the net and is the type of player that can change a game in one shift. She brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm, and just loves to play the game."
A native of Midland, Ont., Dusome has a hockey history of playing for the Midland Capitals, AA Barrie Sharks, and the Jr. Barrie Sharks. She has served as an assistant captain and has consistently balanced academics with athletic commitment. She earned honour roll status all throughout high school and received the student-athlete award.Â
Known for her passion and drive, Dusome brings her strong growth mindset. She emphasized the importance of being not only a good athlete but also a better person. At TMU, she looks to strive to the best of her abilities and push herself to get better.
Dusome will be coming to TMU to study Criminology and shared that the commitment is "The correct and best decision." She said she sees herself at the university for the next four years and admires the facilities that the school offers.
Dusome is the newest addition to a promising 2025-26 recruiting class aiming to make an impact in the OUA.Â
