The Bold men's basketball team have continued to add talent in their 2024 recruiting class, this time looking west to pick up forward Ryan Ziolkowski from Campbell Collegiate in Regina, Saskatchewan. The big man joins the blue and gold after finishing up his high school career in Calgary, with the Edge School.

Ziolkowski comes to Toronto after having represented Team Saskatchewan in the 2022 U-18 Canada Game. Ziolkowski also captured the 2023 Sask Dedication award, as well as the 2023 MVP and Coaches award during his time at Campbell Collegiate.

"My goal in high school was to play basketball at the next level and I am very grateful that TMU has given me that opportunity," Ziolkowski said about his recruitment, adding that his coachability is what has propelled him to this level. "I am coachable and am a good team player. I like having feedback from coaches as to how I am doing and what I need to work on."

Ziolkowski says he's happiest when in a gym, shooting around with friends. He credits basketball with helping find several strong friendships in his life. When he steps on campus in the fall, he'll join the faculty of science in pursuit of a chemistry degree while helping the Bold chase OUA and national gold.

"I chose TMU because I loved the feeling the coaches and the players on the team gave me when I got to visit the school. Furthermore, TMU has the program that I wanted to pursue and get a degree. This made the school a perfect fit for me."
