Hailey Franco DeRyck has been named the 2025-26 OUA Women's Basketball Player of the Year, becoming the second player in program history to win the award. She joins Keneca Pingue-Giles (2015-16).
Myriam Kone was named a first-team all-star, marking her third career all-conference selection after two previous nods with the Calgary Dinos. Catrina Garvey earned a third-team selection, while Ella McDonald was named to the all-rookie team.
Hailey Franco DeRyck — 3rd Year — Accounting & Finance
- Averaged 12.9 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 2.0 blocks per game.
- Finished first in the OUA in defensive rebounds (164), fourth in blocks (33) and 12th in steals (52).
- Broke her own TMU single-game and single-season blocks records, finishing with 44 blocks on the year, including six against Guelph on Feb. 6, 2026.
- Twice broke her own TMU single-game rebounding record, posting 22 against Brock on Nov. 8, 2025, before surpassing that mark with 23 versus Toronto on Feb. 11, 2026.
- Broke her own TMU single-season rebounding record with 283 rebounds.
- Anchored the Bold defence, helping hold opponents to the second-lowest scoring average in the OUA this season at 56.4 points per game.
Myriam Kone — 4th Year — Psychology
- Averaged 21.3 points per game — the third-highest average in the OUA — while shooting 44 per cent from the field, along with 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
- Broke TMU's single-season scoring record with 448 points and the program's single-season field goal record with 170.
- Finished third in the league in steals with 67 (3.2 per game).
- Named OUA Athlete of the Week on Feb. 3, 2026, after scoring 28 points in back-to-back wins over previously undefeated Queen's and Ontario Tech.
- Scored in double digits in every game this season and recorded 20 or more points in 15 games, including the final eight contests of the year.
- Previously named a 2024-25 Canada West Second Team All-Star and a 2023-24 Canada West Third Team All-Star with the Calgary Dinos.
Catrina Garvey — 3rd Year — Psychology
- Finished in the top 10 in the OUA in scoring, averaging 16.1 points per game.
- Shot 40 per cent from the field, 34 per cent from three-point range and 80 per cent from the free-throw line.
- Finished fourth in the OUA in three-pointers per game (2.6).
- Scored in double figures in 17 games.
- Recorded a career-high 1.9 steals per game.
- Named the U SPORTS and OUA Rookie of the Year and earned all-rookie team honours in 2023-24.
Ella McDonald — 1st Year — Early Childhood Studies
- Started 11 of TMU's 22 regular-season games, averaging 24.2 minutes per game.
- Finished third among OUA rookies in three-pointers made with 24.
- Made at least one three-pointer in all but four games.
- Averaged 5.8 points per game.
- Scored a career-high 12 points in back-to-back games to close the regular season.
