SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. – Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold wrestlers
Arjun Cheema and
Dechlan Papadopoulos won silver medals at the OUA Championships at Algoma University on Saturday.
Cheema competed in the men's 100kg category and won his first three matches to qualify for the final, racking up victories over Gurpartap Virk of York, Jackson Browning of Western, and Andrija Rasovic of Toronto before falling in the final to Callum Knox of Brock.
Papadopoulos wrestled in the men's 65kg category and also accumulated three wins, besting Ziad Saif El Nasr of Carleton, Ali Hammoud of McMaster, and Logan Norton of Toronto before coming up short against Gavin Eldridge of Western in the final.
As a team, the Bold men placed fifth and the women finished 11th.
