TMU Bold Stymied By Ottawa Gee-Gees Softball
TMU Bold had trouble keeping up with uOttawa Gee-Gees Softball in an 8-1 loss in Saturday's second game.
An error put Ottawa Gee-Gees Softball on the board in the bottom of the first.
Abigail Stuart doubled on the sixth pitch of her at-bat, which helped TMU Bold tie the game at one in the top of the third.
uOttawa Gee-Gees Softball made the score 5-1 in the bottom of the third after a solo inside the park home run, a triple that scored two runs, and an error scored one run.
Breanna Morrow opened the game for TMU Bold. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and eight runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out three and walking four.Â
Jayden Lawson, Stuart,
Sophia Vilchez, and
Sydney Leggatt each collected one hit for TMU Bold. Stuart led the BOLD with one run batted in. Morrow led TMU BOLD with two walks.
Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. TMU Bold turned one double play in the game.
TMU Bold play next weekend at Queen's on Saturday, September 28 and at York on Sunday, September 29.
