TMU Bold Fall After Strong Showing By York Lions

TMU Bold had trouble keeping up with York Lions in a 13-0 loss on Friday.

A single put York on the board in the top of the second. York added to their early lead in the top of the third inning whena single scored one run, another single scored two runs, and a ground out scored one run.

Kaitlyn Leboutillier began the game for TMU. The pitcher allowed 10 hits and 13 runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking five. 

Presley Johnston, Tessa Di Matteo, and Maddie Scime each collected one hit for TMU.

York were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.

TMU Bold Lead Slips In Loss To York Lions

TMU Bold stayed in it until the end, but York Lions pulled away late in a 6-5 victory on Friday. 

The game was tied at five in the bottom of the sixth when York singled, scoring one run.
York rallied for the victory despite trailing 4-0 in the second.

TMU got on the board in the top of the first inning after York committed an error, and Sophia Vilchez singled, each scoring one run.

TMU added two runs in the second after Maddie Scime tripled.

In the bottom of the third inning, York went back into the lead after a single, a ground out, and a runner scored after tagging up, each scoring one run.
Presley Johnston grounded out, which helped TMU tie the game at five in the top of the fifth.

Kiyah Hurry led things off in the circle for TMU. The hurler gave up 10 hits and six runs over six innings, striking out three and walking none. 

Jayden Lawson, Kaylee Xaykongsa, Vilchez, Tessa Di Matteo, and Scime each collected one hit for TMU. Vilchez, Di Matteo, and Scime each drove in one run for TMU.

Scime stole two bases. TMU stole three bases in the game. TMU turned one double play in the game.
