TMU Bold Fall After Strong Showing By Queen's University Gaels

TMU Bold couldn't keep up with Queen's University Gaels and fell 9-2 in Saturday's first game.

Queen's jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after an error scored one run, and a single scored two runs.

Queen's extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the third inning thanks to two RBI's on errors.

Kiyah Hurry started the game in the circle for TMU Bold. The starter allowed seven hits and nine runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking one. 

Hurry led TMU Bold with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-3 on the day. Hurry, Presley Johnston, and Tessa Di Matteo each collected one hit for TMU Bold.

TMU Bold Thwarted By Queen's University Gaels

TMU Bold had trouble keeping up with Queen's in a 10-4 loss in Saturday's second game.

Queen's opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two errors.

Queen's added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after TMU committed an error, and a single and a walk each scored one run.

Breanna Morrow stepped in the circle first for TMU. The pitcher allowed 11 hits and 10 runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking two. 

Kaitlyn Leboutillier led TMU with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. Leboutillier went 1-for-3 on the day. Maddie Scime went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead TMU in hits. TMU worked the count all day, amassing five walks.

Queen's piled up 11 hits in the game. Queen's stole three bases in the game.

TMU Bold Cling To Victory As York Lions Nearly Erase 4-Run Deficit

TMU Bold got out to a 4-run lead in the first inning and held on for an 8-7 victory over York Lions in international tie-breaker. York closed the gap by scoring on a single, an error, an error, a solo home run, an error, a single, and a single.

Presley Johnston collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Johnston doubled in the first inning, singled in the eighth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

TMU got on the board in the top of the first inning after Johnston doubled, and Kaitlyn Leboutillier singled, each scoring two runs.

A homer to center field helped York tie the game at four in the bottom of the fifth.

TMU jumped back into the lead in the top of the eighth inning after Kiyah Hurry hit into a fielder's choice, Tessa Di Matteo singled, Maddie Scime singled, and Johnston singled, each scoring one run.

Breanna Morrow earned the win in the circle for TMU. The starter gave up five hits and six runs (one earned) over eight innings, striking out three and walking five. 

Scime collected two hits for TMU in four at bats. Scime stole two bases. TMU had patience at the plate, amassing five walks for the game. The Bold stole five bases in the game. TMU turned one double play in the game.

TMU Bold Obstructed By York Lions

TMU Bold couldn't keep up with York Lions and fell 14-0 in Sunday's second game.

York got on the board in the top of the first inning after a triple scored two runs, a double scored one run, and a single scored one run.

York scored five runs on six hits in the top of the second inning.

York added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when a double scored two runs and a single scored one run.

Kiyah Hurry started in the circle for TMU. The hurler surrendered seven hits and seven runs (five earned) over one inning, striking out one and walking one.
