TMU Bold fell to Varsity Blues Softball 7-3 in Saturday's first game.
TMU opened the scoring in the first inning after
Maddie Scime grounded out, scoring one run.
Varsity Blues Softball flipped the game on its head in the top of the sixth, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 5-3.Â
Kiyah Hurry started the game in the circle for TMU Bold. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and five runs over five and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one.Â

Competitive Game Ends In Walkoff As TMU Bold Falls To Varsity Blues Softball
TMU Bold fell to Varsity Blues Softball 4-3 in Saturday's second game on the final play. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the seventh when U of T singled, scoring one run.
TMU got on the board in the top of the first inning after
Emily Bancroft singled, Varsity Blues Softball committed an error, and
Kaitlyn Leboutillier grounded out, each scoring one run.
Varsity Blues Softball tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a double, a single, and a double.Â
Breanna Morrow opened the game in the circle for the BOLD. Morrow surrendered 13 hits and four runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out nine and walking three.Â
Kiyah Hurry led TMU Bold with three hits in three at bats from the leadoff position. Morrow, Leboutillier, and Bancroft each drove in one run for TMU.
Maddie Scime collected two hits in four at bats. Hurry paced TMU Bold with two walks (one intentional).
Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. TMU were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.Â
TMU Bold play at home on Saturday, September 21 against Ottawa Gee-Gees Softball.
