Jayme Foreman had her second-straight big game, as the Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold continued their winning ways with an 83-57 win over the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Friday night.
After a 27-point performance last Saturday in the team's win over Western, Foreman was lights out again on Friday. The first-year guard was 8-12 from the field, including 4-7 from three-point range, to finish with 20 points.
Rachel Farwell was nearly as efficient from the field — tallyinh 18 points on 8-16 shooting.
The win marked seven wins in the last nine for the Bold, who moved to 10-7 and into a tie for second in the OUA Central division with the victory.
The team looked dominant from the get-go, putting up 30 points in the first quarter to the Thunderwolves' 13, 16 of which came from driving up to the paint.
In the second, TMU calmed down a little. Both teams added 21 points in the quarter, to keep the Bold leading by double digits going into the second half.
The remainder of the game continued to see TMU dominating, albeit low scoring third and fourth quarters, and ultimately winning the game.
The Bold will take to the court to face the Thunderwolves again Saturday night at 6 p.m. The game will be available for streaming at OUA.tv.
