Dove strikes gold at Guelph Invitational

GUELPH, Ont. - First-year golfer Abigail Dove made history on the golf course on Monday, becoming the first female golfer from TMU to win an OUA invitational event.

Dove put together a round of 75 at the Guelph Lakes Golf & Country Club to earn a share of the top score. Hana Yoshida from Waterloo also shot a 75 to share the top step on the podium.

This marks the second year a TMU golfer has won at the Guelph Invitational after Matt McRae made history of his own in 2022.

The TMU men's team also competed at this year's event with Adam Nunez finishing with the top result with a score of 79.

The Bold golf team will now turn their focus to the OUA Championship coming up on October 14-15 at Grey Silo Golf Club in Waterloo.
