TORONTO - The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) softball team is pleased to announce the following details for the 2022 season's open tryouts:

Eligibility: The tryout is open to all students who will be registered as 'full-time' at the start of the fall 2022 semester. 

How to register: NEW PLAYERS MUST REGISTER FOR THE TRYOUT IN ADVANCE. To do so, complete the TMU Athlete Waiver of Claims and Assumption of Risks form and complete the TMU Softball Tryouts Registration Form. As well, please email the head coach, Jason Saker, at softball@ryerson.ca to notify him of your intentions to attend tryouts and when you will be in attendance.

When and Where:

- Friday, August 26 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at McCleary Park
- Tuesday, August 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at East Toronto Athletic Field #1
- Thursday, September 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at East Toronto Athletic Field #1

Athletes are encouraged to plan to attend all tryouts. If you can't be in attendance you must inform coach Saker in advance.

What to bring: Glove, athletic clothing, and cleats/running shoes; batting helmets and bats (some bats will be available at the tryout); recommended to wear baseball pants or have sliding pads; catchers should bring their own equipment; water.
