Bold take one of four games against Varsity Blues

Game 1: TMU Bold 0, Toronto Varsity Blues 7
TMU Stymied by Varsity Blues, Lose 7-0

TMU fell 7-0 to Toronto in game one of their four-game series against the city rivals.

A single by Caitlin Tomotsugu in the fourth inning was a positive for the Bold.

Kiyah Hurry pitched for TMU. She went four innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out two and walking one.

Tomotsugu went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead TMU in hits.

Game 2: Toronto Varsity Blues 6, TMU Bold 2
Bold Loses Lead Early in Defeat

TMU finished game two with a 6-2 loss to Varsity Blues softball on Saturday. Toronto took the lead on a double in the second inning.

Brooklyn Nash was on the mound for TMU, allowing 12 hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking one.

The Bold racked up five hits in the game. Nash and Quinn Danniels each had two hits to lead the Bold.

TMU Defeats Varsity Blues in Low-Scoring Affair

Both teams were strong on the rubber Sunday, but TMU defeated Toronto, 2-1.

Kiyah Hurry led the Bold to victory in the pitcher's circle. Hurry surrendered one run on seven hits over seven innings, striking out five and walking zero.

TMU  smacked one home run on the day when Hurry had a dinger in the seventh inning.

Emily Bancroft went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Bold in hits. TMU didn't commit a single error in the field. 

Game 4: TMU Bold 2, Toronto Varsity Blues 9
Varsity Blues Softball Captures Lead Early to Defeat TMU

TMU fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-2 loss to Varsity Blues softball on Sunday.  

The Bold struggled to contain the high-powered offence of the Blues, giving up nine runs.

Brooklyn Nash pitched for the Bold, allowing 11 hits and nine runs over five and a third innings, striking out one.

Kaylee Xaykongsa and Sabrina Jada each collected one hit to lead TMU.

The team is back on the diamond this Friday, October 7 when they host the York Lions at Sesquicentennial Park in Brampton.
