TMU closes season with two losses to Queen's

TMU Bold Fall to Queen's Gaels in Close Matchup

The TMU Bold held their own against the Queen's Gaels in the first game on Sunday but ultimately were unsuccessful in taking the win. Neither team committed an error in the field.

TMU notched three runs in the seventh inning. Sabrina Jada and Abigail Stuart each had RBIs in the frame.

Kiyah Hurry started the game for the Bold. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing 13 hits and six runs while striking out one.

TMU scattered 13 hits in the game. Emily Bancroft and Madison MacKenzie each had three hits to lead the Bold. TMU was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Brooklyn Nash had the most chances in the field with nine.

Queen's Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory

The TMU Bold watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-0 loss to Queen's in the second game of the doubleheader on Sunday. Queen's took the lead on an error in the first inning and collected 15 hits throughout the game.

The TMU Bold struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time containing the Gaels, giving up 13 runs.

Daniela Fava started the game for TMU. The pitcher allowed nine hits and nine runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one. Brooklyn Nash threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

The sweep marks the end of the softball season, as the Bold failed to qualify for the Ontario University Softball postseason tournament.
