OTTAWA — For the second-straight year, Bold men's golfer Matthew McRae is the program's top-finisher at the OUA Golf Championships.
FULL RESULTS
The 2022 playing of the event wrapped up on Sunday, as 116 golfers converged on Hylands Golf Club, located just outside of Ottawa, for the two-day event.
McRae, who was one of four Bold golfers to compete in the event, finished +18 (81, 81) in his third conference championship appearance of his career. The highlight for McRae came on Sunday, as he eagled the par-four sixth, helping him shoot a three-over front nine — his best nine hole stretch of the tournament.
Teammates Adam Nunez, Jeevan Bhardwaj, Brandon Byrne joined McRae on the conference stage with the trio finishing 67th, 70th and 72nd, respectively.

Nunez shaved off three strokes on Sunday to finish five shots back of McRae at +23 (85, 82) in his second-career OUA Championship. Meanwhile, Bhardwaj improved by four strokes on Sunday to close the event at +28 (88, 84) and Byrne rounded out the group by finishing +31 (88, 87) in what was the pair of first years first conference championship.
The Bold finished with a team score of +100 to finish 15th.
DJ Gargaro was also set to be a part of the Bold contingent at the event, but withdrew prior to the opening round.
