Early Lead For York Lions Seals Fate For TMU Bold

TMU Bold fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-3 loss to the York Lions on Friday in Brampton. York scored on a groundout and home run in the first inning, and an error in the second inning.

TMU lost despite out-hitting York, ten to six.

Kiyah Hurry was on the mound for TMU. Hurry went seven innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out ten.

The Bold collected ten hits on the day. Kaylee Xaykongsa and Hurry each collected two hits to lead TMU.

Bold Offence Unable to Match Lions

TMU fell behind early and couldn't get their bats going in an 11-1 loss to York. The Lions got ahead early on three doubles and a triple in the first inning, collecting ten hits throughout the game.

The Bold struggled to contain the high-powered offence of York, giving up 11 runs.

Daniela Fava led things off on the rubber for the Bold. The pitcher allowed seven hits and eight runs over two innings, striking out four. Allegra Romaniello threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Kaylee Xaykongsa, Emily Bancroft, Maddie Scime, Rachel Aversa, and Ashley Rosenthal each managed one hit to lead TMU.

The team wraps up their season next weekend with a trip to Kingston to take on Queen's.
