TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams fastpitch team won three of their four games on the final weekend of regular season play ahead of the OIWFA championship tournament.
Game 1: Ryerson vs. Queen's
The Ryerson Rams nabbed the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over Queen's in the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday. The game was tied at two with the Rams batting in the bottom of the fifth when Abbigail Thompson doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
Ryerson received stellar pitching from
Zoe Delorme who allowed only five hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking zero.Â
Alicia Callaghan and Delorme each collected two hits to lead the Rams.
Game 2: Ryerson vs. Queen's
The Ryerson Rams watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 6-2 loss to Queen's in the second game. Queen's took the lead with two runs in the second inning and another two runs in the third inning.
Zoe Delorme led things off in the pitcher's circle for Ryerson. She and
Emma Carr led the Rams with two hits in three at bats.
Game 3: Ryerson vs. York
Ryerson defeated the York Lions 7-0 on Sunday as
Zoe Delorme and
Daniela Fava combined to throw a shutout.
The Rams hit one home run on the day from Delorme in the second inning. Stelmachowicz, Carr, and Delorme all had two hits to lead the team to victory.
Game 4: Ryerson vs. York
The Ryerson Rams scored seven runs in the seventh on its way to a 12-3 victory over York in the second game of the doubleheader on Sunday. The Rams' offense in the inning came from singles byÂ

The team got on the board in the first inning.  Ryerson scored two runs when Callaghan hit a home run.
