HAMILTON, Ont. - The Ryerson fastpitch team was unable to find their winning ways at the OIWFA championship tournament this weekend.

The Rams lost their first playoff game against the eventual 2019 champions, the Western Mustangs. Ryerson took an early 1-0 lead in the first innings but were plagued throughout the game with costly errors, which led to an eventual 11-4 loss.

In their second game of the double knockout playoff format, the Rams faced the host team McMaster and lost 6-3. The Marauders eventually went on to win the bronze medal.

Although the team was unsuccessful in the playoffs, it should not diminish their most successful season in their four year history. Special thanks to senior players Olivia Pepe, Emma Carr, and Alicia Callaghan, for their contributions to the team and the school.
