TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams fastpitch team squared off with their Toronto rivals on Friday night and split the doubleheader.
Game 1 - Ryerson 1, Toronto 0
The first game was a pitcher's duel with the score 0-0 going to the bottom of the seventh inning. Abby Thompson drove in the winning run, scoring Alicia Callaghan who opened the inning with a triple.
Zoe Delorme pitched seven shoutout innings, allowing only four hits and striking out four.
Game 2 - Toronto 5, Ryerson 3
In the second game, Ryerson jumped out to a 3-1 lead but the Univeristy of Toronto scored four runs in the sixth inning for the late comeback win.
The team was lead by Olivia Stelmachowicz who went three for three and scored two of the three runs.
