HAMILTON — Despite trailing for most of the game, the no. 2 Ryerson Rams went on an unstoppable run in the fourth quarter to take an 89-80 win over the no. 3 McMaster Marauders on Friday evening in Hamilton.

Ryerson's Bronwyn Williams (Toronto, Ont.) had one of the best games of her career tonight, establishing a new regular season high of 20 points and 11 rebounds in 26 minutes of play. Six Rams had 10 or more points in the win.
The Marauders went on a 6-0 run to open up the game, but the Rams managed to take a 9-8 lead early in the first quarter.
McMaster outscored the Rams by two points in the first quarter and one point in the second quarter, eventually taking a 46-43 lead into halftime.
Ryerson was neck-in-neck with McMaster throughout the third, but the Marauders' three-point lead held until early in the fourth quarter.
The Rams played some of their best basketball in the final 10 minutes of the game, putting up 26 points in the fourth quarter and holding McMaster to just 14. The Rams would outmuscle their opponents on both ends of the court, earning an 89-80 victory against one of the best teams in the country.
Rams fifth-year forward Sofia Paska (Etobicoke, Ont.) made her first appearance of the regular season against McMaster, putting up 10 points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes on the court.
Jama Bin-Edward (Waterloo, Ont.) and Cara Tiemens (Newmarket, Ont.) combined for eight three-pointers in the game, marking the team's second-highest output from beyond the arc this season.
The Rams will be back in action tomorrow night against the Brock Badgers at the Meridian Centre in St. Catherines. Tip-off is set for 6:00 PM.
