TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams fastpitch team dropped both games of a doubleheader against the Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday afternoon.

Laurier 2 - Ryerson 0

In a close pitching duel, it was scoreless until the sixth inning when Laurier scored and then added another in the seventh. Ryerson's Abby Thompson pitched a superb complete game, striking out seven batters. 

Laurier 12 - Ryerson 6

In the second game of the double header, Ryerson held a 6-3 lead going into the fifth inning when Laurier scored five runs and added four more in the sixth. Emma Carr and Olivia Stelmachowicz each had two hits and scored two runs.

The two losses dropped Ryerson to a 7-3 record. The Rams return to action next weekend when they host Brock (7-7) and Windsor (6-6) on Sept. 29 and 30, respectively.
