Head coach
David DeAveiro set up his team to focus on defence which is what he believed they lacked in a loss against Toronto the night before.
"They [Algoma] were fresh, you know, and so it took us a little while to find our legs and get going, But once we did, I thought we played well. We moved the ball and did a lot of good things," said DeAveiro.
The Bold were consistent in their setup throughout the game which forced the Thunderbirds to struggle to catch up.
By the end of the third quarter, the Bold walked off the court with a whopping lead of 84-44.
In the fourth quarter, the Thunderbirds pushed back, but it only resulted in more foul shots for the Bold.
First-year Greg Angelkos played a really strong game and attributed his points tonight to playing alongside his teammates.
We were trying to respond after last night, and trying to make it a group effort defensively and offensively," said Angelakos.
Angelakos recorded 12 points and played the most minutes he's ever played with the Bold.
This game was a good chance for the Bold to lock in and change the course of their game play.
"As we move forward, we will turn and spend more time in practice focusing on our defence and trying to get back to who we were," added DeAveiro.
The Bold will be back on the court on November 6th at 8 p.m. against the Guelph Gryphons. Watch on OUA.tv or click
