Bold Earn Four All-Star Selections

TORONTO – Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men's soccer players, Akeim Villous, Chris Campoli, Dante Ferraro, and Jevontae Layne were named OUA All-Stars in an announcement by the conference on Friday afternoon. Villous was selected to the first-team while the other three players received second-team recognition. The Bold tied with three other schools for the most all-stars in the OUA East.

Villous earned his first-team selection after appearing in 13 games during the season and making 10 starts. He scored his lone goal of the year in a game at Toronto and was instrumental in helping the Bold record five shutouts.

Campoli, the 2022 U SPORTS Player of the Year, was named to his fourth OUA All-Star team. He tied for the team lead in points with 20, scoring nine goals and recording two assists. He registered two multi-goal games including a hat trick against Queen's in the first game of the season.

Layne led the Bold with 10 goals which was tied for the second most in the OUA. He scored at least one goal in six of his 11 appearances and had three multi-goal games including a hat trick in a win over Carleton.

Ferraro started in goal for the Bold in 11 matches. He finished third in the conference in saves with 48 and first in save percentage at .814. He also tallied five shutouts for the season.
