TORONTO –
Aaron Rhooms scored 23 points to lead the Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold in an 84-67 loss at the University of Toronto (U of T) Varsity Blues on Friday evening.
The Bold guard shot an efficient 10-for-17 from the field and 3-for-7 from three-point range. He was joined in double figures by
Galand Okeugo, who finished the contest with 10 points.
After playing to an even 19-19 score at the end of the first quarter, the game got away a little bit from TMU in the second frame as U of T outscored them 26-16. From there, the Bold struggled to get back into the contest despite the strong performance by Rhooms.
Javier Gilgeous-Glasgow led the Bold with six assists and
Kevin Toth grabbed a team-high five rebounds.
The Bold will look to bounce back on Saturday, Nov. 2 when they battle Algoma at the Mattamy Athletic Centre at 6 p.m. Watch the contest on OUA.tv or purchase tickets
