TORONTO - Defender Antony Curic made his Major League Soccer (MLS) debut this past week, donning the Toronto FC jersey for the first time in his career.
Curic spent the 2019-20 season with the Bold before beginning his professional career, signing with Toronto FC II in 2020. The defender has spent the last two seasons with the Young Reds in the MLS Next Pro division, making 35 total appearances before earning the call to the MLS.
The 6-3 defender inked his short-term loan
agreement with TFC on May 13, 2023, and made his first appearance for the Reds that same night against CF Montreal.
"He's been an important guy with the second team, a guy that in that group is a leader and when we were shorthanded...we felt that he was a good choice to bring with us in case we needed another option," said TFC head coach Bob Bradley after Curic's debut. "He's earned it."
