WINDSOR, Ont. - The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold track and field team concluded their season this weekend at the OUA Championship.
The Bold were entered in seven different events at this year's championship, with
Felimon Henok earning the top individual finish on the track with an 11th place showing in the 300m after a clocking of 35.97 seconds. Teammate
Aaron Kelly also ran in the event, finishing 18th.
Henok and Kelly also ran in the 60m sprint, finishing 23rd and 24th, respectively, while
Tafara Gwata topped all Bold runners in the discipline with a 19th place finish after a time of 7.11 seconds.
The Bold men also ran in the 4x200m relay, finishing with a time of 1:34.12 to rank seventh.
In the women's sprints,
Nastacia Crowe-Missens finished in 25th and
Meghan Koo followed just behind in 26th place in the 60m dash. Koo also raced in the 60m hurdles, finishing in 15th place.
Jayda Moore turned in a time of 47.98 seconds in the 300m to finish 27th.
Jaziel Tunti represented the Bold as the lone field competitor in the women's high jump, leaping 1.52m to finish with a top-eight result.
The Guelph Gryphons swept the team titles for the sixth straight season.
