Juan Pablo Delgadillo joins men's soccer ahead of new season

TORONTO - The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) men's soccer program welcomes Juan Pablo Delgadillo to the team for this upcoming 2022-23 season, the sixth player in this year's recruiting class.

The centre midfielder from Mississauga, Ont. spent one season at the University of Wiscosin Green Bay before transferring to TMU for this season. He made eight starts and appeared in 16 matches in his rookie season while being named to the Horizon League All-Freshmen team.

Delgadillo plays his club soccer with North Toronto Nitros, where he's played with many of his TMU teammates previously.

Delgadillo
describes himself as a hardworking, motivated, and passionate player who gives his all for his team and takes pride in being a leader on the field.

"I chose TMU because of the great soccer program and its vision to be the best in the country," said Delgadillo. "With a great training staff and top quality teammates, staying at home in Toronto was the best decision I could make."

The newest member of the Bold will be enrolled in Business Management. Outside of soccer, Delgadillo is also a barber working out of a shop and his home.

Catch the Bold kickoff their season on September 15 against Ontario Tech in Oshawa, or September 18 against Trent at home at Downsview Park.
