Men's soccer adds Mario McLennon ahead of 2022 season

TORONTO - The Toronto Metropolitan University men's soccer program welcomes Mario McLennon to the team for this upcoming 2022-23 season, as the fifth player in this year's recruiting class.

The wingback grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, playing with the Oakville Blue Devils and fulfilling the role of team captain on his high school team, the Cathedral Gaels.

After graduation, he went on to play for Huntington University in Indiana, and St. Francis University's NCAA Division I team in Pennsylvania.

While playing in the United States, McLennon was a two-time qualifier of the Dean's List at the St. Francis Shields School of Business, and will be studying business at the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) as he returns back home this fall.

McLennon describes himself as a dedicated, determined and disciplined individual, and says he chose TMU because of the possible connections he could form "both on the field and in the classroom."

The athlete will make a great addition to the university's hardworking men's soccer team.

Stay tuned to ryersonrams.ca for more recruit announcements as they become available.
