Toronto native Bilal Reslan commits to men's soccer team

TORONTO - Toronto Metropolitan University Athletics is excited to announce that Bilal Reslan has committed to the men's soccer team this upcoming 2022-23 season. Reslan is the first player in his recruiting class.

A Toronto native, Reslan trained at North Toronto Soccer Club for 11 years, situated just 20 minutes away from the university. The athlete played as a midfielder for North Toronto League 1, and also represented Ontario on the provincial team in 2018.

"We are excited to have Bilal join our program," says head coach Filip Prostran, "Bilal has been developed by the North Toronto SC where he has received elite coaching during his youth career."

Reslan will be pursuing a degree in Business Technology Management at the Ted Rogers School of Management, following his years at Forest Hill Collegiate Institute, where he made academic honour roll.

"I chose TMU because of the academics, as well as the team's vision and style of play," Reslan says.

The midfielder describes himself as committed, dedicated and passionate, qualities that will fit right into the university's zealous and intensive men's soccer program.

"We believe Bilal will come in and make an immediate impact on our program," says Prostran.
