Rams look to add to winning record this weekend

TORONTO – The undefeated Ryerson Rams men's soccer team is back in action this weekend at home, before they go back on the road. The Rams will look to add to their 4-0 record as they face the Trent Excalibur and the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks.

Ryerson is heading back to Downsview Park after a strong showing for their home-opener weekend. Winning both games with a clean sheet, the Rams are heading into the weekend with confidence.

First up, they face the Trent Excalibur, who are coming off a disappointing start to their season with a 0-2-1 record, on Friday night. With only one goal in their past three games, the Excalibur are coming to Downsview highly unmatched against an aggressive Rams offence.

With Saturday off, the Rams lace up again on Sunday against the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks. The Ridgebacks are also coming off a less than stellar 0-1-2 record, with their last two games being 1-1 draws. The Rams should expect a battle but should come out of this game unscathed as well.

This weekend should not pose too much of a challenge for this experienced Rams team. The Rams will look at leading scorer Muaz Saleh (Hamilton, Ont.) to continue his dominance. Keeper Ali Ghazanfari (Stouffville, Ont.) is also a player to watch as he looks to continue his clean sheet record at home.

Kick off takes place at 8:15 p.m. ET on Friday and 3:15 p.m. ET on Sunday.
