TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams women's basketball team went 3-0 on home court to capture the championship at the Darcel Wright Memorial Classic this weekend at Coca-Cola Court.

The Rams came back in the fourth quarter to squeak out a 61-60 win in the opening round against the Regina Cougars, a favourite to be at the Final 8 this coming March. The following day Ryerson topped Bishop's in the semifinal by a 22-point margin, winning 78-56 to set up an all-OUA final with the McMaster Marauders.

Sunday's final was a back and forth affair through the first half but the Rams were able to pull away in the second half to win 79-68 and take the championship title.
