Sherwyn Benn is entering his ninth season as an assistant coach with the Rams women's basketball program after joining the team in 2012.

A level III certified coach, Sherwyn served as an interim head coach at the University of Toronto in 2003-04 as well as an assistant coach in both the OCAA and OUA.  In the past eight years he has worked with five OFSAA qualifying high school basketball teams, and has been an assistant coach to the Ontario Provincial boys U15 and U17 National Championship winning teams.

A former point guard with the Varsity Blues, Benn played for five years and served as their captain for four years.  

Sherwyn’s experience as a player and coach are evident in his coaching style. There is pride in his ability to connect with athletes and in helping them find and live their best selves.  

Benn's time is spent as a high school athletic director, physical and health education teacher, and is the proud father of three girls.
