Kingston, Ont. – The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold women's soccer team put together a dominant first half on Sunday afternoon, defeating the RMC Paladins 3–0 on the road.
Lisamarie Arangio opened the scoring just five minutes in, calmly slotting home her first of the season to give TMU an early advantage.
Telaijah Folkes doubled the lead in the 40th minute, before substitute
Taliyah Walker struck in stoppage time with help from
Reilly Flesher to make it 3–0 heading into the break.
The Bold carried their momentum into the second half, outshooting RMC 19–2 on the day and generating five corner kicks. Paladins goalkeeper Brianna West was kept busy, finishing with nine saves, while TMU's defensive unit limited RMC to just two shots on target.
Elisa Paolucci and
Kyra Pettibone combined for the shutout.
With the victory, TMU evens its record at 2–2 on the season, while RMC falls to 1–2.
