In the second quarter, the Bold saw their lead dwindle to as little as three points, before once again providing a response. At the half, the Bold led 49-40.
The third quarter provided the home Golden Hawks the opportunity to get back into the game. WLU tied the contest at 57-57 with just under four minutes left in the period and the two teams traded baskets until the end of the quarter which ended in a 64-64 tie.
