NORTH BAY, Ont. - Connor Bowie's five points led the Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men's hockey team to a 6-2 beatdown over the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Saturday to secure the Bold's second win in as many nights.
Ian Martin, Joe Rupoli, Jaden Condotta and Kevin Gursoy also lit the lamp in the blowout victory for the blue and gold.
The Bold built a 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of action on Saturday, launching themselves onto the scoresheet just 10 seconds into the contest.
The Bold added three unanswered goals to pile up on the Thunderwolves, before Nicolas De Grazia and Justin Paul found the back of TMU's net to snap Kai Edmonds' shutout bid.
The second-year netminder made 37 saves in the rout.Â
The Bold will return home on Friday to cap off a five-game road trip that saw the team pick up their first three wins on the season. The group will take on the Guelph Gryphons, with puck drop set for 6:15 p.m from the Mattamy Athletic Centre.Â
