The Bold only trailed once in their complete route of the Lancers to open up the weekend.
TMU pulverized the Lancers on the offensive side of the basketball throughout Friday's opening quarter.Â
Riding the momentum of both 16-0 and 11-0 runs to start the contest, TMU was able to shoot nearly 72% from beyond the arc and keep their opponent to just a 7.1% success rate from within the field.Â
TMU's
Julian Walker epitomized the initial onslaught from the visitors, leading the Bold with nine points in the opening quarter to give the Bold a commanding 29-5 lead at the break.Â
Despite being outscored 19-14 by the Lancers in the second, the Bold returned to their early groove in the third and began tacking on points with little resistance from their opposition.Â
Stringing together their second 11-0 run of the evening, the Bold found life from the hands of Rhooms,
Lincoln Rosebush and
Simon Chamberlain to help flip their attack into another gear.Â
Rhooms nabbed a team-leading 15 points in the third frame to help put the Lancers further out of reach and elevate himself atop the Bold's nightly point leaders.Â
Finishing the quarter shooting 50% from three and collecting 12 rebounds off the glass, the Bold would go on to rout the Lancers in the fourth and final quarter, earning production from their bench to keep their winning score aligned.Â
