BURLINGTON, Ont. - Ontario University Athletics (OUA) announced the women's volleyball award winners and all-stars on Tuesday, with a trio of Bold players picking up recognition.
Fifth-year outside hitter
Julie Moore was named an OUA First-Team All-Star in her first season in the conference after coming to TMU from Dalhousie. In 12 conference matches this season Moore averaged 3.50 kills per set to rank fourth in the OUA. Showcasing her all-around game, her 3.45 digs per set and 0.242% hitting percentage both ranked among the top ten in the conference.
Third-year
Ashley Ditchfield earned a spot on the Second-Team of all-stars, the second consecutive season among the conference's best for the middle. Ditchfield led the OUA with 33 solo blocks this season while her 0.315% hitting percentage ranked fifth best.
Second-year libero
Mary Rioflorido followed up her strong rookie campaign where she was an All-Rookie team member with a productive year in the backcourt to be named a Second-Team All-Star. Rioflorido led all OUA players with 309 digs and 4.29 digs per set this season, and became just the second TMU player to eclipse 300 digs in a single season.
