TORONTO - TMU Bold men's hockey goaltender Kai Edmonds has been selected to the U SPORTS all-star roster that will lace up against the Canadian junior national team as part of the World Junior training camp next week.

Edmonds is one of the 22 players selected to compete in Oakville from December 10-13 and one of two goalies selected to the squad from across the country.

Hockey Canada's national junior team has faced various U SPORTS competition on a regular basis since 1988. U SPORTS began its current all-star team format in 2015 and in eight previous camps has a 6-8-1 overall record.

Edmonds has a 9-5 record so far this season and ranks in the OUA's top 10 in both goals against average and save percentage. Last season he represented Canada at the FISU Games, backstopping the Canucks to a gold medal.
