Bold find late life on the road to best Paladins

The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men's hockey team took care of business earlier tonight, pummeling the RMC Paladins by a 6-3 score to kick off their Kingston road trip.

The Bold exploded out of the gates in the third period, putting up three-consecutive goals to put the Paladins' hopes of a comeback well out of reach.

Kyle Bollers would be credited with scoring the winning tally in the contest - his second of three goals in the evening - and Aaron Hyman would secure the third of his team-leading four points on the opening third-period marker.

After surrendering a pair of goals to RMC in the opening frame, TMU smacked back with three goals of their own to take a lead into the first intermission. RMC's Ryan Smith evened up the score in the early goings of the second period to bring TMU's flying offense back to earth.

The Paladins' lonesome tally in the second frame would do little to throw the Bold off their game however, with the visitors matching the production they received in the first to help close out their fourth win of the season later in the third.

A trio of TMU players finished with four points as a result of tonight's route over the Paladins. Kevin Gursoy contributed four helpers in the team's winning effort, while Chris Playfair locked down a goal and an assist.

Bold netminder Ryan Dugas picked up his first win of the season in the contest with a 35-save performance to help lead TMU to victory.

The Bold will be back in action tomorrow night when they face off against the Queens Gaels. Puck drop from Memorial Centre in Kingston is set for 7:30 p.m.
