KINGSTON, Ont. - The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 sweep of the RMC Paladins on Friday night, staying steady on the kill and utilizing strong blocking to neutralize their opponents' attack.
First set saw the Bold establishing their dominance on the court. Looking alert on the attack, TMU hit .483 with 18 kills to RMC's seven. Omari Young had a perfect hitting percentage in the first, adding five kills throughout the set.
The second saw more of the same, as the Bold (12) doubled the Paladins (6) in kills.Â
In the last set, RMC attempted a comeback campaign. The Paladins kept the score tight but ultimately they fell short to the Bold, who took the set in the end despite a score gap of only two points toward the end.
The Bold racked up 10 blocks, 7.5 of which came from
Alex King. King also added nine kills for a game-high 16.5 points.
TMU will look for a weekend sweep as they take on RMC again on Saturday afternoon.Â
