Bold gain experience at OUA Championship

LONDON, Ont. - The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold cross country team raced in the OUA championship this past weekend at Thames Valley Golf Course in London.

On the women's side, Tijana Panic led all Bold runners with a 74th place finish with a time of 36:54 over the 8km course. Teammate Victoria Hebert was right behind Panic in 75th place. Rounding out the Bold women's results were Olivia James in 79th, Jessica Ward in 84th, and Brigitte Toljagic in 87th.

With five runners, the women's team qualified for the team standings where they finished in 12th position.

On the men's side, just three Bold runners competed on the 8km course. Jack Heintz recorded the top finish for the team, placing 82nd with a time of 30:07. Christian Barida and Sam Mamelli rounded out the TMU performances in 96th and 98th place, respectively.

All of the TMU runners who competed were racing in their first OUA Cross Country Championship race, which means the experience gained this season will give the Bold something to build on moving forward.
